We warmly welcome you to our café in Kauhajoki!

Do you want to have a relaxed and tasty stop in a beautiful atmosphere while travelling? If yes, we are the right choice.

Our café is famous for the incredible tastiness of our cakes, that makes people travel for them from afar. Besides the cakes we offer special coffees, delicious savory pies, paninis and salads. Lunch is available on weekdays.

The wonderful flavors are created with local and organic high quality ingredients that we get from our network of local producers. Another flavor factor is an interesting combination of Finnish and American family recipes that we use due to our café owners: a Finnish-American couple Kirsi and Mark Heidt.

We also have a good selection of gluten free and vegan food and some options for keto diet. If you have other dietary requirements, just ask the staff and we’ll help you to find something good to enjoy!

The café is located in an old merchant’s house, with over a hundred years of history. Downstairs you find our cozy café space and a shop with local products. Upstairs there’s an art gallery with monthly changing exhibitions. The house is surrounded by a sweet garden with traditional Finnish perennial flowers, contemporary folk art sculptures and a romantic gazebo.

Kauhajoki Café is a popular place to visit and we can cater groups from small to big, up to 75 people. We also have a boutique hotel Secret Garden Guesthouse which is located nearby and in where we can accommodate 20 persons.
